The History Of Genoma
Genoma started out as a series of illustrations when I was 17. I was failing high school, since all I did was daydream about monsters and magical beings, battling each other over the territories of the universe. As the years went on, I made a few small comics, depicting short stories of some of the characters in Genoma. Life took me in many directions and for quite a while, I was in a rough spot. My friends and family were far, and I didn't have a good job or any plans for my future. I caved in and began to fall, when I placed my emotions in separate boxes, and gave those boxes as personalities to the characters of Genoma. They took my stress, my worry, and my pain, and transformed it into a whole world. Now, I must give back to them what they gave me- A life. I feel as with any story, the characters become something, they become alive. To me, they are real people with real backgrounds, emotions, real pain, and real joy. They all act differently in each scenario, and after years of revisions and drafts, I now have a workable story.
And here we are, 2024, and I am querying my first novel. It is a long and tough journey, not for the faint-of-heart. But nothing comes without hard work and patience. If it did, I wouldn't want it.
